Great Australian Dream has International Appeal
Buying a residential property either as a home or an investment is the primary aim of most Australians.
In fact the saying ‘the Great Australian Dream’ is often used in Australian society and refers to this desire by the majority of people to have their own home or investment property.
While Australia is a vast country the majority of its population lives close to the coastline and in the capital cities. This is largely driven by the lifestyle that is available near the Coast or in the major cities and as a result this is where much of the new residential housing is developed for sale.
One area of Australia that has seen considerable growth in recent decades is the South East Corner of Queensland, often referred to as the Sunshine State, because of its climate and beach lifestyle.
Many Queenslanders choose to live on or near the water and there is a wide variety of high quality residential housing options available for prospective buyers to choose from.
The capital city, Brisbane, is a thriving modern business and population centre straddling the Brisbane River which runs from inland out into Moreton Bay, a protected aquatic paradise.
Over the last four decades the population of South East Queensland has increased dramatically and now there is almost a convergence of the beachside tourism centre known as the Gold Coast, right through to Brisbane and then the Sunshine Coast.

One company which has been at the forefront of residential development in the South East Corner of Queensland is nationally listed property company Mirvac.
Mirvac Development Queensland CEO Matthew Wallace said his company’s success over many years had been driven in no small part by its selection of only prime development sites and the creation of quality residential communities developed in harmony with nature and the environment.
Such communities include The Sanctuary on Moggill, Mossvale on Manly, Gainsborough Greens and Brookwater. Two of these are golf course residential communities and the other two are located within an easy commute to the centre of Brisbane city.
Many residential property buyers in Australia base their decision on where to buy on what lifestyle enhancing facilities or amenities exist in the immediate area. Facilities such as golf courses, extensive parkland, waterways, dining and shopping precincts, transport, educational and medical facilities are all drawcards for prospective buyers.
Architectural design and quality of construction are also major considerations for Australian residential property purchasers and there are many examples of such residences in South East Queensland.
Prospective buyers need to consider what their specific requirements are for example how many bedrooms they want, what style of house they desire, whether they want a beach or water based lifestyle or would prefer the tranquility of a semi-rural environment and then start to research what is available from there.
Selecting the right location is of paramount importance and then it is simply a matter of looking at what is available within their specific budget to meet their preferred lifestyle.
Australia has some of the world’s best residential housing options and the climate, lack of pollution, low crime rates and relatively low population makes it attractive to people from throughout the globe.
Testimony to the popularity of South East Queensland is easily found with large numbers of Australian’s relocating to this part of the country every month. They know the lifestyle is unbeatable and there’s a residential housing option to suit every taste.
